AP Governor lays foundation stone at SPMVV
Tirupati, Sep 6(UNI) Andhra Pradesh Governor N D Tiwari today laid the foundation stone for the Engineering College hostel at Sri Padmavathi Mahila Visvavidyalayam(SPMVV) here today.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Tiwari said the students should learn to become multi-lingual as it would enable them to associate with people from all walks of life.
The Governor lauded the university for its silver jubilee function and hoped the university would celebrate golden, diamond and platinium jubilee functions in the near future with renewed vigour.
He asked the university authorities not to remain content with traditional courses and look to include various courses in the long-term interest of the students.
The university Vice Chancellor Veena Nobel Dass presided over the function.
The state Minister for Law and Courts, Technical Education and Industrial Training Institutes R Chenga Reddy, Minister for Medical Education and Health G Aruna Kumari, Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTD) Chairman B Karunakara Reddy, Tirupati MP Chinta Mohan and MLA M Venkataramana were among others, who participated in the function.
