Alliance between Chinese, Guj firms in Dalian
Gandhinagar, Sep 7 (UNI) A delegation of entrepreneurs led by Chief Minister Narendra Modi formed strategic alliances with international firms on the second day of the three-day summit 'Summer Davos' inaugurated by Chinese Premier Wu Ji Ab at Dalian, China.
According to a release, the acclaimed public-private partnership (PPP) model will now be extended to strengthen the social and educational sector with greater thrust. In a meeting with Mr Soumitra Dutta, the world renowned dean of INSEAD (Europe's leading Business School), an educational model for Gujarat was deliberated which can fill both the current skill gap over the short-term and provide cutting edge knowledge and skills to the next generation.
It was decided that INSEAD will explore opportunities of working with the Government towards establishing an institute that will serve as the birthplace for holistic growth champions of the future.
''These initiatives, along with the one lap-top per child campaign will take our PPP agenda into all possible areas that can uplift Gujarat to the next level of growth,'' said Mr Modi.
The global march of leading corporate houses continued with several MoU's being inked with Chinese companies. Among the MoU's signed, Electrotherm and Ajanta (Orpat) stood out. Officials pointed out that both are model growth stories that represent the Gujarat model of holistic development.
