3,500 kg of mawa seized in the city

Mumbai, Sep 7 (UNI) The Health Department of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation conducted raids in 187 places in the city and seized more than 3,500 kg of 'mawa', an important ingredient for making sweets.

As the festive season is coming up, sweet makers are indulging in using spurious materials for making sweets.

Similar raids will be carried out all over the city to keep a check on the sweet makers, said civic health officials.
