Youths loot Bank in Ludhiana in broad daylight
Ludhiana, Sept 6 (UNI) In a daring daylight robbery, two youths today looted Rs six lakh from Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) at Tagore Nagar Branch here.
SSP Ludhiana R K Jaiswal told UNI that of the two youths, who came to the Bank this afternoon, one stood guard at the gate, while the other, went inside and asked the cashier at gunpoint to handover all the money.
After stuffing the cash in a bag, both of them escaped from the spot.
The SSP, who visited the spot, said that the bank did not have a security guard and the alarm system was also found defective.
The bank guard had retired two month back and after that no was appointed, he said.
