Woman, son-in-law held with 200 kg poppy husk

Jalandhar, Sept 6 (UNI) Police today arrested a woman along with her son-in-law and recovered nearly 200 kg of poppy husk from their possession from near Basti Danishmand river here.

Narcotics Cell incharge Gyan Singh told UNI that one Usha along with her son-in-law Pankaj, both residents of Basti Danishmand, were arrested on prior information when they waiting of a customer in a car near Basti Danishmand river here.

He said the consignment was packed in eight jute bags. A case under NDPS Act was registered against both of them, he added.
