Modi to address Van Bandhu Kalyan Yatra on September 10

Gandhinagar, Sep 6 (UNI) Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will address a 'Van Bandhu Kalyan Yatra' (Tribal Welfare Scheme) in tribal-dominated Vansda taluka of Navsari district on September 10.

As part of Mr Modi's ambitious Rs 15,000 crore Van Bandhu Kalyan Yojna for all-round development of tribals of Gujarat, the Chief Minister will give away cash assistance of nearly Rs 20 crore to over 10,500 tribals, an official release said here today.

The release said Mr Modi will also launch over 1,000 various tribal schemes, worth Rs 46.50 crore, for tribals of Navsari district. These schemes include housing facilities, cash assistance and other kinds and means of help to tribals.

During the Yatra, in which over 100,000 triabls are expected to participate, it is likely that several water supply, irrigation, health and educaiton schemes would be announced by Mr Modi, the release added.
