SINGAPORE, Sept 6 (Reuters) Gold rebounded on Thursday after a drop in New York but investors were reluctant to make a big move ahead of this week's U.S. jobs data.
-- Spot gold edged up to $682.00/682.50 an ounce from $681.40/682.00 an ounce late in New York on Wednesday, when it fell more than $1 on profit taking.

-- Some analysts cited employment as a main factor underpinning U.S. growth, contending it has kept the Federal Reserve from cutting rates during the credit market turmoil.
