US to give additional one million Dollars aid for flood hit
New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) The United States will give an additional one million Dollars (Rs four crore) for immediate relief of flood victims in India, the US embassy here announced today.
This will be in addition to the 50,000 Dollars (Rs 20 lakh) announced by the US earlier for the Prime Minister's Relief Fund.
The additional funds provided by the USAID's Office of US Foreign Disaster Assistance, will be used for water, sanitation, health and nutrition activities in Bihar where about 14 million have been affected by the floods.
