Six people killed as bus plunges into ravine in Karnataka

Chickmagalur, Sep 5 (UNI) At least six people were killed and 20 others injured when a private bus fell into a deep gorge near Kavikalgundi in the Chickmagalur-Bababudangiri section of the state highway, this afternoon.

Police said the bus, on its way to Bababudanagiri hill station from Chickmagalur, fell into the gorge while negotiating a curve.

The driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a steep curve on way to the hill top, police said.

Senior police officers rushed to the spot and supervised rescue operations.
