Rupee opens at 40.92/94 per dollar

Mumbai, Sep 5: Rupee opened strong at 40.92/94 per US dollar up by nearly five paise from the last close of 40.97/98 per dollar.

During the intra-day it stood in a tight range of 40.92-95 as not much demand was seen from the market participants.

The unit touched a high of 40.92 during the intra-day and is currently trading at 40.94/95 per dollar, dealers said.
