RC issued against 6 private sugar mills in UP

Lucknow, Sep 5 (UNI) The Mayawati government today issued Recovery Certificate (RC) against six private sugar mills for not complying with its orders to clear the dues of the farmers.

The RC has been issued against Asmauli, Bilari (Moradabad), Dhampur, Barkatpur (Bijnaur), Khai Kheri (Muzaffarnagar) and Rajpura (Badaun) sugar mills, UP Sugarcane Commissioner Kamran Rizvi said here tonight.

So far, RC had been issued against 13 sugar mills for not clearing the dues of the farmers.

While, Asmauli owed Rs 22.38 crore, Bilari Rs 7.9 crore, Dhampur Rs 44.49 crore, Barkatpur Rs 29.38 crore, Khai Kheri Rs 9.55 crore and Rajpura Rs 10.43 crore to farmers.
