Ramadoss says he will sign all degrees

New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) A few more doctors of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) today approached the Delhi High Court for its intervention for getting the degrees signed by Health Minister Anbumani Ramadoss.

Their lawyer P K Bhasin told the court that the minister had signed only 49 degrees as directed to him by the court. There are about 20 more degrees which need his signature.

The Minister's lawyers Mukul Gupta and Mukta Gupta told Justice S Ravinder Bhatt that all the students who will approach him will get his signatures on the MBBS degrees. They assured the court that no student who approaches the Minister will be denied his signature on the MBBS degree.

The resident doctors had earlier gone on a three-day strike on August 27 against delay in award of degrees.

However, the Court intervened so that "innocent" students should not suffer because of the tussle between the government and AIIMS management over technicalities for issuing degrees.
