No talks on alliance with MNS: Munde

Mumbai, Sept 5 (UNI) BJP general secretary Gopinath Munde today refuted reports on talks being underway on an alliance between his party and Raj Thackeray-led Maharashtra Navnirman Sena in the backdrop of strained relations with the Shiv Sena.

Talking to reporters, Mr Munde said ''BJP is having an alliance with Shiv Sena and as long as this alliance is there there is no question of forging any other alliance''.

A section of media had carried reports about the a possible alliance between the MNS and BJP.

Mr Munde said BJP was not in favour of Sharad Pawar as the next Prime Minister, an idea advocated by Shiv Sena.

''This was the main reason for the relations between Sena and the BJP being strained'', he revealed.
