Need for commitment to integrity for successful pub service: LG
New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) Delhi Lt Governor Tejendra Khanna today stressed the need for highest commitment to integrity and high domain competence for ensuring successful public service delivery.
Launching the NDMC eGov Financial System, a computerised accounting reforms system, at Raj Niwas here, Mr Khanna said there should be zero-tolerance in compliance of technological specifications for excellent standards.
Talking about the new sytem, which was launched in the presence of NDMC Chairman Parimal Rai, MLA and NDMC Vice-Chairperson Tajdar Babar and Council members Ashok Ahuja, Sima Gulati and Mukesh Bhatt, Mr Khanna said,'' the system is citizen friendly and should help councillors and NDMC employees in discharge of their duties.
He expressed hope that the Comprehensive Financial Management system would improve efficiency and Citizens' Service Delivery.
Speaking on the occasion Mr Rai said,''it is a fully online system, which ensures controls like role-based access and approval workflows reducing data entry errors.'' He said it also ensured that all the reports were generated in real-time to be available for better decision-making for the council.
Developed by eGovernments Foundation (eGov), the Accrual Based Double Entry Accounting System of NDMC, eGov is aimed to improve governance in NDMC.
