Minorities community vote bank for political parties : Rabbani
Kolkata, Sep 5 (UNI) The All India Minority Development Morcha(AIMDM) has threatened to organise hunger strike after the Ramjan festival if the Central and state governments did not implement the Sachar Committee report.
Talking to newsmen here, AIMDM president Gholam Rabbani alleged that after the Independence both Union and state governments were using the minority communities as vote bank and making a plethora of promises before the election.
Even after the Parliament election, the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre had set up Sachar Committee for the development of the minority communities, but the Central and state government were yet to take any initiative to implement it, he said.
Both governments should provide free of cost education to uplift the economical condition of the people belonging to the minority communities, he demanded.
