Kansai Nerolac Awards for architects, interior designers

Chennai, Sep 5 (UNI) Paint major Kansai Nerolac will initiate Nerolac Style Icon Awards to celebrate the work and design of architects and interior designers across the nation.

This was an attempt to acknowledge professional and budding architects and interior designers in India through competition, a company release here today said.

According to the programme schedule, about 12 of the best student artworks from three zones -- Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore -- will be selected and 36 students invited to face the judges Similarly, eight of the best professional designs will be chosen from the three zones and 24 architects chosen to represent their work before the judges on October seven at Taj Lands End Contenders will also have a one-on-one interaction with the judges to ensure the contestant's work was genuine and foolproof Kansai Nerolac has tied up with associations like IIA (Indian Institute of Architecture) and IIIA (Indian Institute of Interior Designing) to judge the entries.

The winner will be felicitated with a lifesize version of the winning model that would be unravelled using hydraulic technology.
