Intellvisions and Cradle Tech unveil fourth gen video surveillance

Bangalore, Sept 5 (UNI) The most sophisticated fourth generation video platform 'Trinetra' to enable intelligent video surveillance and security across diverse scenarios, was unveiled today.

'Trinetra' is pegged as an industry first in providing four channel video surveillance with hard disc for recording and playback of stored video streams. It also provided sensor inputs and alarm output for triggering external devices in the event of an alarm.

Explaining the product to newsmen here Intellvisions Software Limited, the leading provider of self service technologies and security solutions, Managing Director S Nair said 'Trinetra' provided selectable MPEG-4 streaming to address user requirements for higher quality images and or lower bandwidth to stream video data besides providing outstanding picture quality across a standard network interface. It harnessed power and performance of silicon valley based semiconductor company Cradle technologies and Techwell Inc to provide four channels of intelligent video and an oustanding price to performance ratio, he added.

Replying to questions he said the product, designed for high end security applications, was now available as OEM to all kinds of product developers as well. Presently there had been enquiries for over 10,000 pieces and the demand was expected to grow in the coming months when more system integrators and developers would adopt these boards for their own delivery into the market. The market for 'Trinetra' was across Britain, India and Middle East. " With security becoming a buzzword globally, we are looking at tapping the European and American markets as well," he added.
