HCL launches India's first multilingual printer
New Delhi, Sept 5 (UNI) Desktop and server maker HCL Infosystems Ltd today launched the country's first multilingual printer.
''With a built-in unicode support for Indian languages including English, Hindi, Marathi and others, the H star TSP 700 offers barcode, label, receipt and ticket-printing functionality in a single product and has been exclusively designed for the requirements of retailers in rural India,'' said HCL Infosystems Executive Vice President Rajendra Kumar.
HCL is the market leader for POS solutions with more than 70 per cent market share in the retail industry, with a majority of the big retail industry players as clients.
''With the increasing adoption of IT in towns and villages of India, language applications have increasingly become the order of the day. The new product is designed to leverage the language opportunity growing in the country,'' said Mr Kumar.
The product is available through HCL's widespread distribution and retail network.
UNI
