Govt approves constructing 27 road links on Indo-China border

New Delhi, Sep 5 (UNI) The Government has approved the construction of 27 road links along the Indo-China border at an estimated cost of Rs 912 crore, the Rajya Sabha was informed today.

Minister of State for Home V.Radhika Selvi said in a written reply that the Government had simultaneously initiated action for obtaining forest and environmental clearances wherever required.

Upgradation of infrastructure along the borders was continuously reviewed. These road link projects were expected to be completed by 2012-13. An amount of Rs. 3.16 crore had been released to the executing agencies for the preliminary works, she added.
