Goa BJP women's wing threatens agitation over PDS delays
Panaji, Sep 5 (UNI) The women's wing of the Goa Bharatiya Janata Party has threatened to launch an agitation if rice, wheat and sugar, as supplied to ration card holders, are not distributed in time by the civil supply department through the public distribution system.
BJP general secretary-cum-spokesman Govind Parvatkar, while speaking to media persons after announcing a 30-member state executive committee of the Mahila Morcha headed by Mukta Prabhakar Naik, said the detailed agitational programme will be chalked out within a couple of days.
Mr Parvatkar said that although the civil supply minister had announced that ration card holders will get extra quota of essential commodities during the Ganesh Festival, the regular quota has not been distributed in time.
Mr Parvtakar said in the name of ''Aam Admi'', the government is fooling the poor people.
