Driver dies of heart attack while driving, bus falls into river bed

Junagadh, Sep 5 (UNI) As many as 22 passengers of a state transport bus had a miraculous escape when the driver suffered a heart attack while driving and died, causing the bus to plunge into a river bed.

The passengers survived the freak accident, that occurred yesterday, but have suffered injuries and have been admitted to a Junagadh hospital, assistant traffic superintendent Nirmalsinh Vaghela today said.

Mr Vaghela said the bus was proceeding towards Junagadh from Porbandar when the accident occurred. Driver of the bus Majidkhan Sultankhan (57) suffered a severe heart attack while crossing a bridge near Sakarbagh in the city and the bus plunged into the river bed, Mr Vaghela said.
