CM asks airlines to avoid flight cancellation

Thiruvananthapuram, Sep 5 (UNI) Kerala Chief Minister V S Achuthanandan today said airline companies were asked to take steps to avoid cancellation and delay of flights.

Replying to a submission in the Asswmbly, the Chief Minister said the cancellation of flights would lead to untold miseries to passengers. But the argument of the airlines was that the cancellation was not intentional, but due to operational reasons.

He said the airline companies had also been urged to operate more flights from the three international airports in the state.
