Blackmail of step mother led to girl's murder in Amritsar

Amritsar, Sep 5 (UNI) The police today claimed to have solved the murder of a young boy and a girl, whose dead bodies were recovered from Nag Kalan village in the district last month.

Police officials said that after investigations the police arrested Jyoti a resident of Sultanwind road in the city. She is the step mother of Veenu, the girl who was murdered alongwith her lover Rajan.

On the interrogation of Jyoti, the cops also arrested her husband Sukhi and two others who assisted in the murder. The interrogation revealed that Veenu and Rajan were murdered as they had prepared a video film of her step mother in compromising positions with her lovers.

The two lovers had prepared the movie as Jyoti was opposing their marriage. They had planned to blackmail her and force her to give her consent.

However Jyoti alongwith husband, Sukhi and two others murdered the young lovers in their house and then threw their bodies on the outskirts of Nag Kalan village.
