Army jawan found hanging from tree in Delhi Cantt

New Delhi, Sept 5 (UNI) A 22-year-old jawan of the Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering (EME), Roorkee, was today found hanging in Delhi Cantonment area of South-West Delhi this morning.

''He reportedly committed suicide as he could not father a child even after three years of marriage. The tension arising out of social pressure may have led him to the extreme step,'' said a senior police official.

Mukesh Yadav, who hailed from Narnol in Haryana, was found hanging at about 0620 hrs from a tree on Gurgaon Road in Dhaula Kuan area, he said.

No suicide note was found from his possession but his parents said he was under tremendous pressure for not having been able to father a child despite three years of marriage, he added.
