Patna, Sep 5 (UNI) A Kathmandu-bound AirArabia Boeing aircraft, which made an emergency landing at Patna airport this afternoon, was allowed to take off after refuelling.

Director of Patna airport Atul Dixit said the Air-Arabia Boeing Tri-Star aircraft, en route to Kathmandu from Sharjah, had contacted the Air Traffic Controllers for permission to make an emergency landing at Patna airport at around 1400 hours for refuelling.

Accordingly the permission was granted and the plane was allowed to land at 1412 hours.

'' As soon as the plane landed, it was taken to the isolation bay and cordoned off by the security personnel, '' Mr Dixit informed and said soon necessary arrangements were made to refuel the aircraft.

Its engine was also thoroughly tested to detect any possible snag, he said.

After refuelling and receiving the airworthiness certificate from the ground engineers, the aircraft was allowed to take off for Kathmandu at around 1635 hours to the relief of its 150-odd passengers.
