20 college students injured in bus-tanker collision

Panipat, Sept 5 (UNI) At least 20 college students were injured, eight of them seriously, when their speeding college bus collided with an oil tanker near Dahar village on Gohana-Panipat road this evening.

The bus of NC College of engineering at Israna was trying to overtake a vehicle while on way here when it collided with the Rohtak-bound tanker, some of the students told reporters.

Three of the critically injured were referred to the Ganga Ram hospital in Delhi while five others were admitted to two private hospitals in the town.

The seriously injured were identified as Gauri, Liberian of the college, Jyoti, Purnima, Divya, Ritu, Mohini, Sonia and a boy student Rajender.

The bus driver Suresh Kumar and canter driver Inder Kumar were also injured.

The other injured were admitted to different hospitals in the town.

UNI
