Thermal power units to be set up for enhancing production
Mathura, Sep 4 (UNI) With an aim to overcome the power crisis in Uttar Pradesh, new thermal power production proteets are proposed to be set up in the next four years, a minister said.
Addressing newspersons here, UP Power Minister Ram Veer Upadhyay said, ''to enhance the electricity production upto 10,000 mega watt (mw), new thermal power production units would be installed.'' UP Chief Minister Mayawati would lay the foundation stone of a 500 mw power production unit in Harduaganj this month.
Besides, a 1,000 mw Anpara C project is being started.
The Harduaganj and Pareecha units would be set up by Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL), he added.
