Junagadh, Sep 4 (UNI) Somnath Temple Trust will built a musical water fountain on the seashore of Somnath at a cost of Rs 1.80 crore.

''The work on the fountain would be over in two years time with the help of the Central and state governments,'' said Ashok Sharma, secretary of the Somnath Trust and deputy collector of Veraval and Somnath.

He told UNI that the coloured fountain is a musical one and it would have only 'stotras' on Shiva.

''Strictly no film music,'' added the general manager of the Trust Kamlesh Rawal.

A Vadodara-based businessman Avantilal Chavda donated a silk turban embroidered with silver to Lord Shiva's idol yesterday. Also 172 Brahmins are doing pooja with 1.25 lakh 'belpatra' of the 'shivling'. The pooja will continue for a month.

The Somnath Temple authorities have also started e-aarti service for the first time, which can be seen on the site http://www.somnath.org/AARTI.php on Mondays.
