SGPC committee to probe Sikh-Sacha Sauda clash
Amritsar, Sep 4 (UNI) The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandik Committee (SGPC) today announced the formation of a four member committee to probe the reasons leading to the clash between Sikhs and Sirsa-based Sacha Sauda followers at Alampur Mandra village in Mansa district.
The clash left 11 persons including two women injured. Amongst the injured were four Sikhs while the remaining were Dera followers.
Sant Teg Singh Dhanuala, SGPC member would head this committee, a SGPC release here stated.
The SGPC also announced a grant of Rs 25,000 each to the next of kin of the injured.
A case under section 307 of IPC was registered yesterday against 33 persons involving in the clash.
