Sankaranarayanan swears in as Arunachal Gov

Itanagar, Sep 4: Nagaland Governor Katteekal Sankaranarayanan today sworn in as the governor of Arunachal Pradesh on dual charge following transfer of his predecessor S K Singh to Rajasthan. Chief Justice of Gauhati High Court Justice Justi Chelameswar administered the oath and secrecy of office to Mr Sankaranarayanan at a simple function in the Darbar Hall of the Raj Bhawan, which was attended by Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu, his cabinet colleagues besides high ranking civil and police officials. Mr Sankaranarayanan also held additional charge of the state a few months back and administered the oath of office to Dorjee Khandu on April 9 last as the chief minister after dissident Congress ministers and MLAs revolted against former Chief Minister Gegong Apang.
