Rain plays spoilsport in Janamasthmi fair
Rajkot, Gujarat, Sep 4 (UNI) Rain God played spoilsport in the annual Janamasthmi fair, turning the venue into a pool of water here following heavy downpour for the last two days.
Rain proved to be a damper for the business this year as various stalls erected at the venue, Race Course ground, remained stranded.
Business-men are disappointed as they did not get the expected sales because of lack of visitors.
The eight-day long fair, was inaugurated by the State Finance Minister Vajubhai Vala on September 2.
The fair boasts of more than 70 small and big rides, nearly 50 fast-food stalls and restaurants, around 70 stalls of handicrafts and clay work and about 200 stalls for toys. But still has failed to attract people following heavy rains.
