Prof Rekha removed following controversy on opinion poll

Jammu, Sep 4 (UNI) Prof Rekha Choudhary, head of political sciences department of Jammu university was removed from the post following the controversy over opinion poll conducted in the state by some media houses recently.

The order of removal of Prof Chaudhary was issued by the Vice Chancellor Prof Amitab Mattoo on receiving a report from Dean Social Sciences.

The probe was ordered against Prof Choudhary on a memorandum by Jammu and Kashmir wing of Shiv Sena, whose activists forced their entry in the VCs official chamber demanding immediate action against the professor for her alleged 'anti-national activities'.
