NDA govt fails to provide relief to flood victims: RJD
Samastipur, Sep 4 (UNI) RJD leader Alok Mehta today alleged that the Nitish Kumar led NDA government has failed to keep their promise to provide relief to flood victims of Bihar.
The senior RJD leader and party MP told newspersons here that the government was adopting a callous attitude towards flood victims as lakhs of people were left neglected with no relief being provided which was promised earlier.
''The displaced people in the worst-affected areas of Sarairanjan, Morba, Tajpur and Patori blocks were left abandoned despite several requests made by different political parties in this regard,'' he added.
''The Nitish Kumar government had claimed to have made elaborate arrangements for protection of embankments on various rivers in north Bihar before the onset of monsoon but their all claims proved to be hollow,'' he alleged.
