MP Cong demand registering of case in fake encounter
Bhopal, Sep 4 (UNI) The Madhya Pradesh Congress has demanded registering of a case against guilty police officials regarding the death of a police official in an alleged fake encounter between the police and dacoits.
In a statement issued here today, Mr Yadav claimed that akin to Gujarat fake encounter, Assistant Sub-Inspector Diwarilal Rawat, who was posted at Sheopur, was killed in a fake encounter in January 2004.
He said Justice B M Gupta Commission, constituted for looking into the matter, had expressed suspicion that Mr Rawat was killed in a fake encounter as part of a conspiracy hatched by then Inspector General P K Pawar, Deputy Inspector General of Police Gajiram Meena, Superintendent of Police C L Malviya and sub-inspector Harish Sharma besides others.
Mr Yadav demanded the suspensions of guilty police officials and registering of a murder case against them in view of conclusions made the Justice Gupta commission besides providing Rs 10 lakh financial assistance to the family members of the deceased and a government job to a family member.
