Minor Girl raped by army jawan

Moga, Sept 4 (UNI) An army jawan was arrested today in Bambia Bhai village of the district for allegedly raping a minor girl on Monday.

According to FIR lodged with the police, the father of the victim alleged that Jasbir Singh, who is the neighbour of the victim, entered in his house, under the influence of liquor, when the girl was alone and forcibly took his minor girl into his own house where he raped the girl. After committing the crime he fled away. The girl was immediately taken to civil hospital.

Moga SSP Devinder Singh Garcha said the police had informed the commanding officer of the army jawan who committed the crime.
