L&T bags Rs 267 cr hi-tech equipment orders

New Delhi, Sep 4: Larsen&Toubro Ltd (L&T) today said it has secured two major contracts for Rs 267 crore from Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) and China-based Liaoning Huajin Chemical Corporation for their capacity expansion projects.

The orders have been won against stiff international competition and will be executed by the company's heavy engineering division (HED), said a company statement.

One of these contracts is for coke drums of foster wheeler design, for the residual upgradation and MS/HSD improvement project at IOCL Gujarat.

The other contract, for Huajin's 200KTA Ethylene Oxide/Ethylene Glycol project, is for design, manufacture and supply of two ethylene Oxide reactors, involving special tubes made of duplex stainless steel.
