JD(S) will go along in local body elections: Gowda
Hubli, Sep 4 (UNI) Janata Dal(S) National President and former Prime Minister H D Deve Gowda today said that his party would go all alone in the coming elections to the local bodies and state assembly.
Talking to newsmen here, he said JD(S) would fight the elections on its own and clarified that the appointment of Mr Meerajuddin Patel as party's state unit president was not to woo minorities.
The decision to appoint Mr Patel was taken about eight months back, he said.
Mr Gowda, who visited a mutt and a darga in the city refused to say anything on transfer of power to BJP by October Three.
He also visited Vruru, where a 60-feet monolith of Bhagawan Parshwanath has been erected.
