Hyderabad-Vijayawada 4-lane NH by year-end: Jaipal Reddy

Nalgonda, Sep 4 (UNI) Union Minister for Urban Development S Jaipal Reddy today said the foundation stone for the conversion of the Hyderabad-Vijayawada National Highway to a four-lane road would be laid by the end of this year.

Addressing a public meeting after Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy laid the foundation stones for the 'Telangana University' and the 'Udayasamudram Lift Irrigation Scheme', at Brahmanapalem village here, the Union Minister praised Dr Reddy for his initiative to solve water-related problems in the district.

He asked Dr Reddy to take steps to put an end to the chronic problem of flourosis by supplying safe drinking water to the flourine-affected areas.
