Fire in Tirumala bank, documents gutted

Hyderabad, Sep 4 (UNI) Property worth more than Rs 15 lakh was gutted when a fire broke out in Tirumala branch office at Abids early today.

Police said the bank security guards noticed the smoke emanating from the premises and informed the police, who called the fire tenders.

The firemen battled for more than an hour to put out the flames.

Accessories like computers, furnitures and some documents were reduced to ashes, police said and added that short circuit could be the cause of the fire.
