Dasmunshi condoles death of six tourists

Kolkata, Sep 4 (UNI) Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi condoled the death of at least six tourists, including two women from West Bengal, in a road accident this morning in Uttarakhand.

In a condolence message, the union minister described the incident as a tragic sequence in the life of the tourists from Murshidabad.

Thirteen women are being treated in Roorkie hospital.

The Roorkie Hospital authorities have been requested by the Minister to extend all possible care to the injured persons. Mr Adhir Choudhury, MP from West Bengal has been asked to rush to the spot.

The Union Minister also held talks with Uttarakhand Chief Minister, Maj.Gen B C Khanduri in this regard to make arrangements for the recovered patients to ensure their safe return to their respective homes.

The Uttarkhand Chief Minister has reportedly assured Mr Dasmunshi of all possible help to the victims.
