Jaipur, Sep 4 (UNI) Some Dalit MLAs in the Vasundhra Raje cabinet said though they felt that the SC community has not been given adequate representation in the state ministry, the issue would not be raised at this point.

The five sitting legislators --Laxminarain Bairwa, Nand Lal Bansiwal, Govind Ram Meghwal, Rakesh Meghwal and KD Babbar--told reporters that SC members were not given representation as per their expectation and needed more seats in the ministry.

They said the BJP was presently holding 26 of the total 33 assembly seats reserved for the scheduled castes(SCs) but only three --one cabinet and two ministers of state--were given place in the Council of Ministers.

''However, we do realise that cabinet formation is the Chief Minister's prorogative and we do not intend to make any claim or demand before the leadership at his point of time,'' they said.

The legislators were addressing a joint Press Conference organised to express their full support and solidarity with chief minister Vasundhara Raje.
