CPI(M) demands withdrawal of GO

Visakhapatnam, Sep 4 (UNI) The CPI(M) State Secretary B V Raghavulu today demanded that tax hike on buildings for commercial purposes to be implemented on October one effecting GO 364 should be withdrawn immediately.

Talking to newspersons here, he said the government would consider provision of houses under the purview of the GO.

He accused the state government of being "monopolistic" towards the local administration while taking the decision on the tax hike.
