Chandigarh, Sept 4 (UNI) Haryana Agriculture Minister H S Chatha expressed his gratitude to Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda for giving a bonanza of incentives to all sections of the society in a rally held recently at Gohana.

While welcoming the decision of the Chief Minister, which had been announced for the farmers for the acquisition of their land, Mr Chatha said it was a unique and path breaking decision in favour of the farmers under which an additional amount of Rs 10,000 per acre would be given to those farmers for 33 years whose land had been acquired by either Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation or Haryana Urban Development Authority after March 5, 2005.

He said the farmers of the State would get a sum of Rs 300 crore additional after this decision.

Meanwhile, Bhartiya Kisan Union (BKU) National President Mohinder Singh Tiket and BKU State President Ghasi Ram Nain had also appreciated Mr Hooda for his decision.

Mr Tiket said this decision should also be followed in letter and spirit by other State Governments. This would prove an initiative to ensure secure future of the farmers, he added.
