2 swept away in swirling waters

Rajkot, Sep 4 (UNI) Two people, including an eight-year-old boy, were swept away in swirling waters in two separate incidents in the city last evening, fire brigade sources said.

An eight-year-boy fell into a nullah and was swept away. His identity could not be established.

In another second incident, a 38-year-old man was swept away in the story current of a river. Chhaganbhai Morania and his son Naimish had gone to offer prayers at the Ramnath Temple here. While returning, Naimish fell into the river accidentally. His father jumped in to rescue him but was swept away. The son has been saved.

Meanwhile, Rajkot city recorded about 60 mm rains in just two hours last evening, resulting in water logging in several parts.
