Country's exports up 18% in July
New Delhi, Sep 3 (UNI) Country's exports went up by 18.52 per cent to 12,494.11 million dollars in July-2007 from 10,542.14 million dollars in July 2006.
However, in rupee terms, the increase was merely 3.10 per cent to Rs 50,493.57 crore, an official statement said today.
Country's imports during July-2007 also registered an increase of 20.40 per cent to 17,508.63 million dollars from 14,542.21 million dollars in July-2006. In rupee terms, the increase was just 4.74 per cent.
Oil imports during July went up by 8.75 per cent to 5,048.33 million dollars from 4,642.31 million dollars during the corresponding month last year.
Non-oil imports at 12,460.30 million dollars were higher by 25.86 per cent from 9,899.90 million dollars during the comparable months of the two years, it added.
