Bittu arrested for breach of peace in Punjab

Ludhiana, Sep 3 (UNI) The Punjab Police today arrested expelled Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar) vice president Daljit Singh Bittu and three others while they were proceeding to a nearby village to attend a religious function.

According to the police, Bittu was taken into preventive custody under sections 151 and 107 of the IPC while going to Talwandi Bhai village. Bittu had recently been released in a sedition case.

Bittu along with others was later remanded in judicial custody till September 7 by a local magistrate.
