Vice-President lauds ISRO on successful launch of GSLV

New Delhi, Sep 2 (UNI) Vice-President Mohammad Hamid Asari congratulated the space scientists and technologists involved in the successful launch from Sriharikota of the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle, GSLV-F04 that lifted the high-powered INSAT-4CR communication satellite into space.

In his message, Mr Ansari said the ''successful launch further validates the immense economic and strategic importance of the country's space programme.'' GSLV-F04 is the fifth flight of the GSLV which took off from the SHAR Range this evening, carrying India's latest communication satellite INSAT-4CR as payload.
