UPA not interested to form Telangana: George Fernandes

Hyderabad, Sep 2 (UNI) NDA Convenor and Former Union Minister George Fernandes today alleged the Congress-led UPA Government was not solving the seperate Telangana issue even after it promised to bifurcate the state in the Common Minimum Programme (CMP).

Speaking to newsmen here, Mr Fernandes, who came to the city to participate in a programme, said UPA Chairman and AICC President Sonia Gandhi was 'telling lies' on the formation of Telangana and dragging the issue for political mileage.

He said the like minded parties would chalk out an action plan for the formation of Telangana if the UPA did not take any decision by the end of September.
