Two killed, 13 injured in road accident in HP
Shimla, Sep 2 (UNI) Two people, including a woman, were killed and 11 injured, three of them seriously, after their jeep veered off the road and fell into a gorge in this district of Himachal Pradesh today, police sources said.
The vehicle,with 13 people on board, rolled into the gorge near Dalli, at about 1100 hrs, 135 km from here, in Rohru area killing two people on the spot and injuring 11 others, the sources told UNI.
They said three of the seriously injured have been referred to Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) here, while the remaining were undergoing treatment at Community Health Centre at Rohru.
One of the dead has been identified as Surajmali, 52, the sources said, adding that they were trying to identify the second person, while the seriously injured have been identified as driver Trilok Singh (42), Chander Kanta (31) and Meera (40).
The sources said the cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known, adding that investigations were on to ascertain the reason.
A case has been registered and investigations are on, they added.
