Case of impersonation detected after four decades
Bhilwara, Sept 2 (UNI) In a case of impersonation undetected for four decades, two brothers were employed under one name, in two different government departments.
The matter came to light after their retierment, when a family feud spilled tbe beans.
Deputy registrar of Co-operatives Hanuman Singh Chudhary, who retired from service on December 31, 2006, was found to be Damodar Prasad Chaudhary, after an inquiry was conducted.
According to the Co-operative department sources, Chaudhary had applied for a job in the state Co-operative and electricity board about 40 years ago. He received appoinment orders from both the departments. While Hanuman Singh, the original applicant, opted for the job in the Electricity Board, his eleder brother Damodhar Chaudary joined the co-operative department masquerading as Hanuman Singh Chaudhary, his younger brother.
An inquiry by the joint registrar of Co-operatives, on a complaint by one of the family members after a family feud, unearthed the fraud and a case of seeking a job by fraudulent means was registered against Damodhar Prasad Chaudary at the Jyothinagar police station in Jaipur.
